Azure and Twitter

January 21, 2009 at 23:36

We finally got our Azure Services Platform token and we are rockin'. Hopefully we will have a beta live on our main project within a month.

We've been getting stuck into Twitter over the past couple of months. We think Twitter is a great product and adds real value to the individual as well as companies. We are keeping our eyes out for opportunities and one such opportunity appeared today.

Stephen Fry is really big on twitter and today he posted a challenge to his followers, one of which is our founder, so we knocked up a little application to help solve the problem.

This is an opportunity as it can raise awareness of us and what we do. We'll keep you informed of how this goes.

Progress Update - SQL Data Service

December 23, 2008 at 23:11

It's been a while since we've provided an update. Unfortunately Christmas is quickly approaching and our project progress has been interrupted by paying work amoungst other things, but we have begun putting some ground work in. For one of our projects we will be using Microsoft's SQL Data Services, which is part of the Azure Services Platform. It's really easy to use and develop against and we're sure its scalability and global distribution will be of great benefit to our first product and our users.

MSDN Subscription obtained and development begins

December 02, 2008 at 23:11

After a few stumbles (all our fault) we finally got hold of our MSDN Subscription. We've quickly downloaded Visio 2007 (Design), Visual Studio 2008 Team System (Design, Development, Testing and Source Control) and SQL Server 2008 and we are hard at work developing our first project.

We now need to find a hosting solution. Our preference is to use the Azure Services Platform hosting service to allow us to scale our service as needed however it's seems almost impossible to get hold of a Windows Azure Token. Our choice of hosting solution will have to be made when we are ready to put up a private beta.

BizSpark program, MSDN Subscription and Azure

November 28, 2008 at 22:03

We successfully enrolled in the Microsoft BizSpark program today. Thanks to Julien for the registration code.

Now we are just waiting for the MSDN subscription email so that we can download our development tools and get cracking. We have a few project in the pipeline and we will ideally get them up and running on the Azure Services Platform. Hopefully we will benefit by being part of the BizSpark initiative.

Microsoft BizSpark program

November 27, 2008 at 22:36

We are in the process of enrolling in the Microsoft BizSpark program which is a program that gives startups such as us affordable access to current, full-featured Microsoft tools and technologies.

Fingers crossed that we can get our hands on some great Microsoft goodies!
